ASP Md Basir Uddin told the journalist that
Shamim Osman threatened him during the Narayanganj-5 polls on Thursday noon. He
filed a General Diary in this regard.
He told journalists that when Madanpur Union Parishad chairman Abdus Salam tried to cast fake votes, at Kewdala Government Primary School centre under Madanpur union of Bandar upazila, he prohibited the chairman.
Later Abdus Salam informed Shamim Osman about the
matter, Basir added.
In Basir's opinion, Shamim Osman told him over
phone that Salam would enter the polling centre and do anything whatever he
wanted. He cannot be barred, Shamim threatened.
Then Basir replied, "Now I am doing job
under election commission. I can't do any illegal act."
